Cuban singer, composer and producer Descemer Bueno never stops surprising. If anybody thought that the man capable of delivering one of the world's best songs of the last decade -Bailando- was just a great international artist..well, he was just mistaken.
Descemer Bueno sang once again in Cuba, but in a different context. This time for the youths in an historical location: the Staircase of the University of Havana, right in the heart of the Vedado area. When he entered the stage the crowd started screaming and clapping giving new life to a blessed night, as the rain had stopped right before the gig. Descemer opened with Tus luces sobre mi, and then many good friends and musicians joined him, his chords and sympathy on the stage.
In this new background, Descemer mixed old and new repertory: Siete dias en La Habana with his friend/composer/interpreter Kelvis Ochoa, Llórame un río with Waldo Mendoza; a true classic Ser de Sol and the new song 360grados with Israel Rojas from Buena Fe.. and the touching Tú eres la razón with Qva Libre.
A crowd of 80.000 people waited for him last Friday since before 9pm and Descemer did not disappoint them. He sang of love and hope, closing with an invitation to enjoy the gift of life. Then, at last, the grand finale: with his smashing hit: Bailando!
