Juan Formell, the leader of the orchestra Los Van Van, has deserved the Worldwide Music Award granted by the World Entertainment Organization (WEO) to personalities who have made creative contributions of outstanding significance to the music history. Simultaneously with Formell, the french singer Charles Aznavour and the american musical producer Quincy Jones have been rewarded this year too. WEO selected 10 music celebrities in the whole world, but only three of them obtained the valuable prize, which was considered by Juan Formell as a great honor not only for him but also for Cuba. The official awards ceremony will be held in Kinshasa, Congo, next August. |
