Los Van Van Orchestra, founded by Juan Formell on December 4, 1969, is celebrating 40 years over the stages.  Recognitions and concerts in Cuba and many international tours are part of the festivities of this important anniversary in the history of Cuban music. The schedule of these first months of 2009 includes concerts in a lot of  European cities.  

The orchestra has been invited, in the last days of January, to offer a once-in-a-life concert at the Jazz & Blues Fest, in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

On March 7, Los Van Van will perform at the Roundhouse, in London; March 12, at the Union Scene, in Drammen, Norway; March 14 at Vega, Copenhagen.

The next dates of the Train of Cuban Music will be:

March 18: Sala Apolo, Barcelona.

March 19:  Joy Eslava, Madrid.

March 20: Sala Gold, Bilbao.

March 26: Venice, Italy

March 27: New Vaufrèges, Marseille, France.

March 28: Volkshaus, Zurich, Switzerland.
