Traditional Cuban Music is coming to United Kingdom thanks to Eliades Ochoa, one of the five celebrities from the original Buena Vista Social Club. Eliades was born in June 11, 1946, in Santiago de Cuba Province. His professional career started during the 60s, with Oriental Quintet and later on he entered Típico Septet. In 1978, he joined Patria Quartet becoming the leader and singer of the legendary group that has been keeping alive the tradition of Cuban folk music since 1940. In 1997 he took part of Buena Vista Social Club record, winner of a Grammy Award. He has toured around 40 countries and recorded several albums like Eliades Ochoa & Cuarteto Patria, Son de Oriente, Chanchaneando with Compay Segundo, Cuidadito Compay Gallo and many others.
