Dear friends of Cubamusic,

Thank you very much for being so many in following us with such passion in this closing year.

In this 2011 we’ve had the luck of discovering and launching together with you the 3 biggest young Cuban orchestras, which have marked the new success and revamp of the Cuban Timba. We’re talking about Suave Tumbao, Combinacion de La Habana and most of all about Mayimbe and Barbaro Fines, the Cuban-Peruvian band, protagonist of an incredible boom during this year.

We want to dedicate the 2011 closing cover to them, remembering these 3 excellent albums, which have been the signature of the inexhaustible renewal of high quality danceable Cuban music.

In the first days of this December 2011, Cubamusic, with its discographic line Cubamusic Records, has launched the physical CDs of “Farandula Tropical” from Combinacion de La Habana and “De La Habana a Perù” from Mayimbe and Barbaro Fines, available in the best Latin music specialized stores.
