Mauricio Figueiral

Born in 1984, Mauricio represents the heritage of over a century of Cuban songwriting. Bachelor of Communication Studies at the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana (ISA) and musician of empirical learning, has decided, more by vocation than will, to dedicate himself to music, thanks to which he has become a renown songwriter. In 2014 comes his first work: “Mauricio Figueiral y todo lo contrario”, a production from Bis Music record label. While experimenting with music, Mauricio mixes various Cuban and international genres, always instilling that identity of joyous and carefree feelings proper of the Caribbean music. During his early career, the fate led him to exit Cuba to take his work to the stages of many Spanish speaking countries. He’s also representative for Latin America of the Organización Canto de Todos, led by Vicente Feliu, and works in the field of audio-video as a scriptwriter, being also director of two music programmes for the Venezuelan Television, as well as having directed many music video clips of different authorship.
