Women"s vocal duet.
This duet is made up by Mayelín Pérez (back-up voice and accompanying guitar) and Vionayka Martínez (leading voice). The Evocación Duet was created on May 17, 1990 in Villa Clara Province, Cuba.
The Duet is considered a continuation of both María Teresa Vera and the Martí Sisters and revives the Cuban traditional trova combined with a contemporary sonority expressed through the feeling, the bolero, the Latin American song, the new trova and the son.
The Evocación Duet has performed in several halls, the Cuban radio and television stations and has made presentations in Spain, Italy and France.
